My yougest said the darndest thing today. He is only 8, and we haven't been to church in a year, but the kid is very insightful. He was describing someone at one of his friend's churches and said "You know, the guy who owns the church. " I said "Who?" and he says, "you know, the pastor". We should all be very ashamed that we've set up system that makes 8 year old kids view the pastor this way.
If anyone wondered if the "Pastor as CEO" thing was real, where, there ya go. An 8 year old figured it out.
You mean pastors don't own the church? Dang! Another cherished idea down the drain. :)
