So, I finally got to try one of these bad boys out. My findings are, well, surprising for a Bud hater.
First off, I liked the price. Six bucks for a sixer. As I stood in Wal-Wart I thought that was a good price if everything works out. After sticking the beer in my buggy, I went and grabbed some new pub glasses since my family has broken every last one I've owned.
I get home, stick it the in the fridge, and just wait for them to cool a bit. As I waited I checked out some horrible Tennessee Titans game. After 5 minutes and the urge to claw out my eyes out, I turned it to the Oxygen channel. Yes, women's TV is better than a Titans game.
Beer is ready!
The Pour
Nice color! Very pretty. Good head that sticks around just the right amount of time for this amateur beer fellow. I also noticed it stuck to the glass nicely while drinking it. The Michelob dudes would be proud.
The Drink
Budweiser made this? Seriously? Cause it's pretty darn good. Not as hoppy as most American Pale Ale type beers, but still enough for this hop head of a beer drinker. It's very malty as well. Ernie said it reminded him of Sam Adams. I didn't think so until my second one. I agree. It is like a less hoppy and less expensive Sam Adams.
The Verdict
I like it and I will drink it again. It's not as good as the Pale Ale's of my favorite microbreweries, but it is much less expensive and still very tasty.
