We've been doing the back to school thing here at the Wagner household for nearly 10 years. Some have been run of the mill, while others marked milestones. Some have gone smoothly and others, well, not so much. On the eve of this year's experience, we have a couple of big things going on.
Tomorrow, our baby boy starts Kindergarten and our oldest, a daughter, starts high school. Out in the real world I've all cool about it. Here on the blog you're gonna get the truth.
I'm a little freaked.
Our daughter heads to what some feel is the most fertile grounds for emotional torture in the world. And our baby, well, he isn't so much a baby anymore. Two milestones in one day. Yikes.
And if I am completely honest, some of my freakedness comes from the fact that these two milestones point to one undeniable truth. I am getting older. And it seems to be picking up speed.
So, pray for my kiddies, all four of them. Back to school time is a big change. Say an extra one for Zxyan and Riley. They have really big days tomorrow. And should you have one more to spare, send it up for me, a Daddy who loves his kids and can't believe they are growing up so fast...
I've never seen the name Zxyan before, but that is one heck of a Scrabble word! Too bad you can't use names in Scrabble. Certainly an interesting and cool name though.
I hope it all goes well for ya.
