I'm not saying it's not bad, but I have to wonder...
It's only April, one party doesn't even have a nominee, yet, the candidates for President are close to $1,000,000,000 in funds raised for their campaigns. That's one billion dollars for those who don't want to count the zero's. That is just staggering.
So how bad could the economy really be with so many people able to waste their money on politicians?
With this much money you could support 260,416 kids for 10 years each through Compassion International. You could support nearly 150,000 kids from birth to age eighteen with the same amount.
Instead it's being spent on silly "It's 3 AM" commercials and attack ads.
The candidates raise all that money to get into office, and then they take our money and give it away to other groups in order to stay in office.
