So what have I been up to lately?
Beer
This past Saturday I traveled to Hickory, NC for the Hickory Hops Brew Festival. I went with my buds Ernie and Kevin and we had a blast. Good times and a great road trip. I was introduced to many new beers but was especially pleased with a style I hadn't had before, barly wine. Oh sweet nectar! We also stopped in Asheville for dinner at a little Irish Pub called Hannah Flanagan's. Ernie has raved about it and I finally got to try it. I had the fish and chips and they rocked hard.
Music
Here is some craziness. The old 80's hair band Great White was in town and my bro I went. Yes, this is the same Great White made infamous by the pyro induced fire at a Rhode Island night club in 2003. It was a good concert and our good friend Tom Bettini's band Citizen Kane opened. It was worth the trip out and we got to hear a few tunes we grew up to. We sat near the exits. Just kidding.
Church
Things at Radius are great. If you consider getting kicked out of two places in a month great. :) Seriously, it's not has bad as it sounds. It's actually been a cool journey thus far and seeing people work together in the face of adversity has been awesome. We are learning to adapt while keeping the message and vision on target. You can read all about at Chris' website. We currently meet at Tri-Cities Cinema in Blountville at 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings If you'd like to check us out.
Work
I don't talk about work here on my blog, so this part will be a bit nebulous. Let's just say I love my job, the people I work with, and what I do. I am very thankful and extremely blessed. But we are going through stressful(busy) times. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but the process of get there can get tiring.
Politics
I'm too into it right now. ;)
And that will do for now. Hope you enjoyed the updates.
Hey isn't that a new profile pic? Didn't you take that yourself while driving...you couldn't resist cause you thought you looked so good in your sun glasses.
